EVLO: LOVE for all senses.
The name combines nicknames of my amazing twin daughters who inspire me every day to spread kindness and remind people how much they matter.
After working full-time for 20 years in marketing and PR for creative agencies in Boston, I decided to spend more time at home with my family and launch my own business that would make me and others feel happy. I decided to pursue my obsession for giving gifts, and strangely the pandemic gave me time to get it started.
I’ve always loved giving gifts as a way to show people how I feel about them in a tangible way. I’m a big sap (hint: I cry during Disney movies). I LOVE going overboard celebrating birthdays, special occasions, and life’s simple pleasures. I also believe that in times of sadness and need, we can yield great strength and power from loved ones and friends.
Having survived a benign but life-threatening brain tumor as a teenager, I learned at a young age to “stop and smell the roses” and to take every opportunity to show people in our lives how much they mean to us. I’ve also always had an obsession with paying attention to how we use all of our senses to experience everything.
By using our senses, we can focus more on the moment and the relationship between the giver and recipient, making EVLO a unique gifting experience for any occasion.
And we wouldn’t be givers if we didn’t contribute to the greater good, so we’re committed to donating a portion of our proceeds to nonprofits we care about, and we’ll also be donating gift boxes to spread kindness.
